Constellations Ursa Major and Ursa Minor, now as actual bears in the sky. Gift this pattern to your parent for Mother's day or Father's day, or to a friend who is expecting. This item would also be a wonderful addition to a child's bedroom (or your bedroom? Why not? Sweet dreams!)

The 'stars' and lines in between are GLOW IN THE DARK! They are done with DMC E940, which means they give off a white-green hue.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION:

This design uses 7 DMC colours and requires backstitches.

Difficulty: beginner to intermediate.

The pattern is 79 stitches wide x 67 stitches tall. On count 14 fabric, the design is 5-3/4 inches or 14.3cm wide x 4-3/4 inches or 12.2cm tall. To calculate this pattern's size with any other count than 14, use an online cross stitch calculator.

The PDF file contains:
- Image of the finished pattern (stitched).
- Pattern details.
- Beginner tips & tricks.
- Colour key with DMC threads.
- Backstitch key.

The stars and lines in between light up in the dark. This effect is noticeable but definitely subtle. Due to the nature of the threads, the effect lasts for a limited amount of time, as the threads need an occasional source of light to work. To 'reignite' the threads, simply 'charge' the finished embroidery piece in a source of light for a while. After this, the glow-in-the-dark effect should work as before.

Be careful ironing this piece, as DMC E940 is made from polyester! I cannot guarantee that the threads hold up nicely, or that the glow-in-the-dark effect will work after ironing.

Note: if you purchase this item you will receive a PDF file with the pattern. You will NOT receive a fully stitched version of the pattern, nor a kit with supplies.

Care information

After finishing your embroidery, it is recommended that you carefully hand wash it with water and a gentle soap. Ironing the back gets rid of any leftover marks from an embroidery hoop. Always be careful with your fabrics: if a fabric is dyed specially, be careful washing it, and consult the person you purchased it from whether washing and ironing is indeed safe.
