Owl of Minerva Bookmark
In Greek mythology, the owl is linked to Athena. She is known as Minerva to the Romans. The Owl of Minerva came to stand for wisdom and learning (maybe from all that reading!), and was often shown on coins alongside the letters ‘ΑΘΕ,’ short for ΑΘΗΝΑΙΩΝ, meaning ‘of the Athenians'. The more you know!
This pattern is intended as a bookmark; I finished mine with a purple felt backing and blanket stitch around the edges :)
