Pattern Formats & Software
Every digital pattern download comes with:
• Color and B&W pattern charts (single and multi-page)
• Dimensions and sizing guide (in inches & centimeters)
• Helpful beginner tips & tricks
• A separate Pattern Keeper file
All files are in regular PDF-format, so no special software is needed. They'll open easily on any device!😊
Your download also includes a Pattern Keeper file for use with the Pattern Keeper app (Android) or Markup R-XP app (iOS). If those apps aren't your thing, you can just stick with the regular PDF instead!
Pattern Keeper is a free Android app that lets you follow along with your pattern digitally, tracking your progress and marking off stitches. All NeedleLot Designs digital downloads come with a separate Pattern Keeper file that's easily imported into the app!
Materials & Stitching
All my patterns are designed with 6-stranded DMC embroidery thread, which is durable, colorfast and available worldwide.
Any fabric used in a particular model stitch is always listed either in the pattern file itself, or in the pattern description on this website. I frequently work with fabrics from Zweigart and Wichelt-Permin. That said, I encourage you to use what you like!
Patterns do not contain a complete materials shopping list, though they do state clearly which DMC threads you will need - these are always listed in the pattern Color Key. To start a project, you will also need a fabric of your choosing, as well as some basic supplies, such as a tapestry needle and hoop. For a quick guide on how to get started, be sure to read through my Cross Stitch Basics Tutorial.
All my patterns have a difficulty rating listed in the pattern description. I base difficulty off a few factors, including a pattern's size, whether it's full-coverage, and density of color gradients and/or color switches.
If you're a beginner at cross stitch, I recommend choosing a pattern from my Beginner Collection.
It's wonderful that you want to learn! I have a quick beginner's guide to help you get started. I also recommend watching lots of YouTube videos about cross stitch - there are so many great resources out there!
Custom Designs
Right now unfortunately I don't offer custom designs. I wish I had the time! I'm always open to hearing your ideas for future patterns, though! Shoot me a message on social media with your wishes, and it might just end up on the ideas list! 😊

Monthly Patterns On Ko-fi
Ko-fi is a platform where you can support creators directly. It is very similar to Patreon. You can support creators by buying items from their shop, donating to them, or subscribing to them.
Ko-fi, unlike Patreon, doesn't take a cut of your contribution, meaning that all of your money goes directly to the creator. For me, it helps provide a more stable income alongside regular pattern sales.
I offer monthly exclusive patterns on Ko-fi to subscribers. The current ongoing series is called Flossy Fellows, which features animal protagonists! The exact animals and themes are chosen by subscribers through a monthly poll.
I currently have two subscription tiers that allow you to receive monthly patterns. They are the Catto Rancher and Spell Catter tiers. For more information, check out the tier information on Ko-fi or have a look at the image below. Once you are subscribed on Ko-fi, you can download the monthly pattern from my Ko-fi shop.
On Ko-fi, you can subscribe or unsubscribe any time! Enjoy ultimate freedom!😄
Policy & Usage
Due to the nature of digital patterns, refunds and exchanges are usually not available. However, I'm more than happy to help if you experience any issues with your file. If you have a concern or question about your pattern, or run into an issue, please contact me.
For more in-depth information on returns, read my refund policy.
Physical items can be returned within 14 days of receiving your order. To initiate a return, please contact me at hello@needlelotdesigns.com within this period. Items must be returned in their original, undamaged condition. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer. Once I receive the item, I will process your refund within 14 days. For more in-depth information on returns, read my refund policy.
Please note that I am a one-person independent business, I appreciate your understanding, kindness, and patience!
If you've stitched one of my designs and want to sell the finished piece, you're welcome to do so as long as it's on a small, personal scale. Markets are fine, but please don't sell anything online.
Your personal details are never stored or handled by me directly. All payments are handled securely through Shopify, which uses SSL encryption to keep your (credit card) information private and protected. You can shop with confidence!
For more detailed information on your privacy, read my privacy policy.
My patterns are for personal use only. Please don't share, resell, distribute, or reproduce them. Purchasing a pattern does not transfer any rights to profit from it in any way. I put a lot of love and effort into every design, and your support is what makes it possible for me to keep creating!💜
If you think you've found an illegitimate reseller of my patterns on the internet, please let me know! I only sell digital patterns through this website, Etsy, and Ko-fi.
