Celestial Whale Shark - PDF
Sometimes, the ocean feels like a large pool of stars, and this whale shark, with his constellation of spots, blends right in!

Colors & Stitching:
Uses 8 DMC colors and requires half stitches in addition to full stitches. The half stitches are intended to let the fabric show through, but for a deeper, more saturated look, you can opt to use full stitches in these areas instead.

Beautiful piece, easy and fun pattern to follow.
I am a beginner. This was my first project bigger than a 3-in hoop. I contacted the seller and she advised which Aida cloth would be good, and how many strands of floss I might use. The pattern is beautiful. I made it for my friend as a gift and she is overjoyed. I ended up using 3 strands on 14-count Aida and needed a little more floss than was listed on the pattern: some colors were listed as 0.9 skein required but I needed 2. Another stitcher might be able to complete the pattern with just 1 skein in those colors. This pattern was easy to follow and fun! I highly recommend this pattern and shop.
I'm making this for my kid who loves whale sharks and galaxies. So far it is working up quick and the pattern is very user friendly and clear. I love all of the seller's patterns and can't wait to finish this one to try another!
