Meet the Author
Iris Kleinbussink is the creator of Needlelot Designs. She is well-known in the cross-stitch community for her detailed colorwork and fantastical animal designs. Before starting her creative career, she taught architectural history at university. Her love for art and architecture shows in her work. In her spare time, Iris enjoys cooking plant-based meals, playing video games, reading, and writing. Her favorite movies are The Addams Family, Matilda, and The Lord of the Rings trilogy. She lives with her partner in the city of Groningen, in the north of the Netherlands, and she hopes to welcome a few rescue animals into their home someday.
'Fantasy Cross-Stitch' is Iris’s first book. It’s a celebration of the animals, myths, and magical places and stories she’s loved since childhood. She hopes readers will find a design that speaks to them and makes their stitching time feel like a little escape into another world.
