This design uses 8 DMC colors and requires no backstitching. It contains variegated thread from the DMC Coloris collection.

Difficulty: intermediate to advanced (due to size and use of gradients).
The Dragon pattern is 134 stitches wide x 151 stitches tall. On count 14 fabric, the Dragon design is 9-1/2 inches wide x 10-3/4 inches tall, or 24.3cm wide x 27.4 cm tall. The Kelpie pattern is smaller at 79 stitches wide x 125 stitches tall. On count 14 fabric, the Kelpie design is 5-3/4 inches wide x 9 inches tall, or 14.3cm wide x 22.7cm tall.
To calculate this pattern's size with any other count than 14, use an online cross stitch calculator. The patterns also contain measurements for 16 and 18 count Aida.

After finishing your embroidery, it is recommended that you carefully hand wash it with water and a gentle soap. Ironing the back gets rid of any leftover marks from an embroidery hoop. Always be careful with your fabrics: if a fabric is dyed specially, be careful washing it, and consult the person you purchased it from whether washing and ironing is indeed safe.
