The scarab rolled the sun across the horizon in ancient Egypt. This little insect was an omen of good fortune, hope, restoration, and regeneration. Do you believe in the powers of the scarab?

PRACTICAL INFORMATION:

This design uses 14 DMC colours and requires backstitch.

Difficulty: intermediate.

The pattern is 80 stitches wide x 87 stitches tall. On count 14 fabric, the design is 5-3/4 inches wide x 6-1/4 inches high, or 14.5cm wide x 15.8cm high. To calculate this pattern's size with any other count than 14, use an online cross stitch calculator. The pattern also contains measurements for 16 and 18 count Aida.

Care information

After finishing your embroidery, it is recommended that you carefully hand wash it with water and a gentle soap. Ironing the back gets rid of any leftover marks from an embroidery hoop. Always be careful with your fabrics: if a fabric is dyed specially, be careful washing it, and consult the person you purchased it from whether washing and ironing is indeed safe.
