Colors & Stitching:
Uses 21 DMC colors and requires half stitches in addition to full stitches. The half stitches are intended to let the fabric show through, but for a deeper, more saturated color, you can opt to use full stitches in these areas instead.

Intermediate (ambitious beginners welcome!)

117 stitches wide × 69 stitches high
Finished Dimensions:
• 14 count: 8-1/2" wide × 5" high (21.2cm wide × 12.5cm high)
• Pattern also includes measurements for 16 and 18 count Aida. To calculate this pattern's size with any other count, use an online cross stitch calculator.

Pattern is super easy to follow and works up incredibly cute! I especially love the way the colors blend in the dragon.
I really love this pattern and I know the friend who is getting it for Christmas (who just so happens to like tea and dragons) will love it too! The color gradients are nice, the pattern imported into Pattern Keeper just fine, and it's a very easy to follow pattern. I decided to go out on a limb for the fabric (Huntress Lugana from 123stitch) and so far I think it looks amazing! My photo doesn't do it justice. You could easily do a variety of colors with this piece I think.

I love the pattern and I'm super excited to start stitching. However, despite 20 years of experience as a cross-stitcher, it took me several minutes to figure out what was going on with the instructions regarding half-stitches (I'd rather they were just a completely different symbol). Also, despite the inclusion of a black-and-white chart, there isn't a corresponding black-and-white key.
